Is Carefolio a replacement for my doctor or hospital portal?
No. Carefolio is not a medical provider and does not replace your doctor or your hospital’s portal. It is a personal record hub you control, built to organize and share copies of your medical information.
Does Carefolio provide medical advice?
No. Carefolio does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice. Always consult your doctor or another qualified health professional.
Where are my documents stored?
Documents are stored in secure cloud storage with encryption. We also store AI-extracted text and metadata so you can search and share more easily. Details live in the Security & Privacy section and Privacy Policy.
Who can see my information?
By default only you (and authorized caregivers in supported features) can see your information. Shareable bundles are only accessible to recipients with the secure link (and any passwords) until you revoke or it expires.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete documents from your account; once removed they leave your workspace. Some data may persist in backups for a limited time before routine rotation purges it. Details live in the Privacy Policy.
How does AI work in Carefolio?
We use AI to extract text, generate short summaries, and identify document types or key fields. You can edit, correct, or disable these outputs. We do not sell your medical data and we do not use your personal records to train public models.
Is Carefolio HIPAA compliant?
We are designing Carefolio to support HIPAA-aligned practices and will sign BAAs with institutional partners when needed. For individuals, Carefolio is a patient-controlled tool. We are transparent about safeguards and limits in our policies.
How much does it cost?
During the beta, pricing may be reduced or free for early users in exchange for feedback. Visit the Pricing page for the most up-to-date details.
How do I join the beta?
Use the Get Early Access or Join the Beta buttons on the site and provide a contact email. We’ll notify you as we onboard new users.
